I am a premed student following the non traditional route.
I graduated with a BA in psychology and then re-enter the undergraduate force to gather all my requirements for medical school. Although all the prerequisites for admission are the same, the experience of a post-bach student is different.
Personally, it has been very difficult for me to keep up with the density of the material because, unlike most traditional students, I have an extra set of responsibilities like work, bills, family, etcetera. Having to juggle all the extra stresses of life, especially money, at the same time as getting good grades in science classes is extremely difficult. I have been walking this road for two years now and I cannot wait for it to end.
At the same time, I am grateful for all the resources and support that the internet provides and this blog is my two cents contribution to the new generation of pre-health students.
